From the very first moment the visitor arrives at Hermoupoli port, the first trade port of Greece, he/she discovers the noble character and elegance of Syros. A walk in the island’s capital is never enough. Built amphitheatrically, with impressive churches and traditional settlements, it is a destination of its own. The majestic neoclassical buildings and the wellpreserved mansions of the last century gain admiration and fill one’s eyes with unforgettable pictures.

Santorini

Fira. This is the biggest and most frequented area of Santorini. In the summer, the narrow alleys and the shops are always bustling with people. Equally famous is the “avenue” of Fira, the so-called “gold street,” because of the many goldsmiths who have set up their shops there, one next to the other. A visit to the Museum of Prehistoric Thera, and also the Archaeological Museum of Thera, should not be missed. Imerovigli. Also known as the “balcony of Santorini.” The spectacular view, combined with the tranquil atmosphere, create a most romantic environment. Akrotiri.

Besides its great beauty, Paros has a long history beginning in the Neolithic Era. Excavations on the isle of Saliago (between Paros and Antiparos) revealed a Late Neolithic settlement. During the Proto-Cycladic period, Paros was home to a great civilization, evidenced by the settlements that were discovered on both islands. Crete’s supremacy in the Aegean Sea prohibited Paros’ development. The Cretans (also known as Minoans), controlled trade and communications among Egyptians, Babylonians, Assyrians and the Balkan settlements.

Chora, with its plethora of monuments, which attest to its illustrious past. The best-known of these monuments is “Portara” the enormous marble gate of a temple measuring 100 Greek feet, whose building phase began in the 6th century BC; it was possibly dedicated to Apollo, but was never finished. “Portara” stands imposingly on the islet of “Palatia,” on the left side of the port. From here you will enjoy a marvellous sunset.

An island for all ages

Villages with typical Aegean architecture , and  also settlements with a long history...

Beaches with fine sand and crystal waters, small and large, crowded but also secluded ones... Places to drink and dance until you drop, but also quiet spots for relaxation and isolation... These are only some of the elements that make Ios a destination that enchants everyone who visits it, each for a different reason...

The Gibraltar of the Aegean

Home to some of the most beautiful beaches in the Cyclades. A capital that sparkles under the Aegean sun, with its picturesque white houses, lush gardens and clean alleyways with their whitewashed steps. A barren, Aegean landscape that enchants every visitor with its wild beauty. And the sunset, which is equal to that of its cosmopolitan neighbor, Santorini, if not superior.
