Samos is in the eastern Aegean Sea, off the coast of Asia Minor. It's an island that invites all amateurs of quality holidays. It combines green with blue, luxuriant vegetation with long beaches, its brilliant historical past with its intense cosmopolitan life. The soil of Samos is fertile and ideal for viniculture. Samos wine is famous for is exquisite taste.

The romantic town of Vathy is the main port and the capital of the island. Pythagoreio is considered to be the most cosmopolitan spot. The picturesque seaside village of Kokkari, near Karlovasi, is also a nice spot.

Samos has many beaches that satisfy the most varied tastes. Most of them are surrounded by green landscapes. Kampos Marathokampou is a long and organized sandy beach. Pythagorio is also a long and organized beach with crystal-clear waters. Megalo Seitani is considered to be the most beautiful beach of the island. And Psili Ammos is a nice beach with shallow waters.

You can visit the Archeological Museum of Samos, the Archeological Collection of Pythagoreio, the 82 recorded Caves of Samos, the waterfalls near Potami, when you can take a dive, and Panagia Spiliani. You should take the boat from Pythagoreio and visit the islet of Samiopoula.

You should taste the traditional dishes of Samos: revithokeftedes (chickpea fritters), kolokithoanthi (courgette flowers) fried or stuffed with rice, and bourekia, made with yellow pumpkin and local cheese, cinnamon and spices.
