inousses is a cluster of small islands in the northern Aegean Sea, between Chios and Asia Minor. The cluster also includes the islets of Panagia, Vatos, Gaidouronissi, Prasonissia, Pateronisso, Archontonisso. This beautiful cluster of islands and islets is named after the exquisite wine it used to produce.
The port of Iinousses is amphitheatrically built on a seaside hill, in the southern part of the island. Right across the port, lies Pateronisso. The first thing you will see when you arrive, it's the bronze statue of a mermaid, symbolizing the maritime tradition of the locals.
It's a calm island, ideal for family vacation. All visitors feel the warm ambiance of the island, since local people are very friendly and hospitable.
The island has only one village, quite picturesque, where you can stroll around the beautiful mansions and the whitewashed narrow streets. You can visit the Maritime Museum that preserves the maritime history of the island through wonderful collections.
Iinousses has many beautiful calm beaches, with sand and crystal-clear waters. Apiganos is one of the most beautiful ones. Kastro is a long beach with white pebbles. Zepagas, Agios Giannis, Fokia and Tselepi are also popular.
As a souvenir from your holidays in Inousses, you can buy unique hand-woven textiles at the Monastery of Evangelismos.
