Ιkaria is one of the biggest islands of the Eastern Aegean Sea. It has a wild national beauty and attracts visitors of all ages from all over the world. Sixty villages, running waters, thick vegetation, forests that are alternated with enchanting beaches.

They call it "the islands where time stood still". It is not accidental that the average lifetime of Ikaria's inhabitants exceeds the ninety years.

Exotic, romantic, bustling or isolated, the beaches of Ikaria are unique. Agios Kirikos, close to the port, a small rocky beach, ideal for those who want a quick access to the capital of the island. Ai Yorgis, a rather peaceful beach, Anefanti on the road to Faros, Armenistis, a very popular beach on the northern side of the island, Seychelles, the most exotic one, Livadi, with golden sand and light blue waters, and the Beach of Na, in a beautiful cove near the village of Armenistis.

A characteristic feature of Ikaria is the famous "panigyria", the fiestas where they dance the Ikarian Dance, drink red wine and eat “rasko", the local goat stew. The biggest and most popular panigyri in the Aegean Sea is none other than the Langada panigyri, known as the "Raver Madonna's Fiesta".

It’s worthwhile to visit the village of Christos, where shops open in the evening, and do your shopping there, the hot springs of Agia Kiriaki, and Lefkada Baths. If you are interested in windsurfing or yoga, you must definitely go to Messakti.
