The little island of the Saronic Bay with the pine trees, the calmness and the noble character. Just a breath away from Athens, the island of Poros awaits for you to explore it and love it like George Seferis and Henry Miller did.

Little taverns, marinas, yachts, neoclassical building, a clock tower counting the best moments, beaches surrounded by pine trees, calmness and nonchalance. On foot, on bicycle or by boat, Poros invites you to discover happiness hidden in simplicity. You will certainly notice the architecture of the houses, as well as the fact that Chora is amphitheatrically built.

The island is ideal for strolls by the seaside, walks in its paved narrow streets, rides on bicycle and water sports. You should definitely visit the Temple of Poseidon in the center of the island, the historical Monastery of Zoodochou Pigis, as well as its Clock Tower, that you can see from every corner of the town, and where you can contemplate the view and the sunset.

Most of the beaches are on the southern side of the island. Mikro and Megalo Neorio are two beautiful beaches, Perlia is a nice beach with fish taverns. Limanaki tis Agapis (Love Bay) is a romantic cute beach with a pine-tree forest and crystal-clear waters. There is also the Russian Bay Beach, as well as the trendy Askeli beach, a tourist attraction of the island.

Don't forget to taste the delicious and famous almond sweets of the island.
