Just one hour away from the port of Piraeus, the island of Agistri is one of the best choices for those who want to spend their vacation near Athens. A small heaven-on-earth with its pine trees hugging the blue-green waters of the Saronic Gulf. An ideal place for those who enjoy calm and peace, water sports or even an intense nightlife.

It's worth walking by the seaside, from Megalochori to the picturesque village of Scala or the other way round, a beautiful stroll of about 1.5 km, with traditional taverns, little shops and cafés, where you can have your coffee by the sea. In Scala, you can visit the all-white Church of Agioi Anargyri with its light blue dome. And in the center of the village of Megalochori, you can admire the Church of Zoodochos Pigi, famous for its noteworth murals.

Agistri offers many activities, you can scuba dive and meet the rich and colorful undersea world, you can windsurf and water ski. There are many little bays and creeks where you can enjoy your swim.

Mareza is a rocky beach, covered with pine trees and deep crystal-clear waters, where access is easy by all means of transportation. It's a small bay where many sailing boats anchor.

If you stay in the island for a few days, you should visit the little islands of "Metope", with its white sand and its shallow blue-green waters, or "Dorousa" with its rocky coasts and deep waters, that are ideal for spearfishing.
