One of the Northern Sporades islands. It combines the thick forests (67% of the surface of the island) and the blue of the sea. You can admire the sunrise from the castle of Chora and the sunset from the colorful port of Loutraki.
In Chora, you can walk in the picturesque alleys with the tasteful houses that surround the castle and sprawl down to the port. Going down the steps towards the port you can see the various churches and chapels like Panagitsa of Pyrgos, Evangelistria and the Church of the Three Hierarchs. Νext to the Church of the Three Hierarchs, you can admire the house of the poet Pavlos Nirvanas, and in the center of the town, you can visit the Folk Art Museum. It is also worth visiting the archaeological museum in the district of Ampeliki. It would be a wonderful experience if you visit the workshops of the island's traditional artisans who work with clay, wood, glass and metals.
Skopelos combines lush green areas and crystal-clear blue beaches. You can swim at the beaches of Stafylos, Agnontas or Limnonari. The main road passes from most of the beaches and ends up to Glossa, a lovely colorful village. Equally remarkable are the villages of Klima and Elios.
It's worth tasting the famous Skopelian Cheesecakes from the traditional bakeries of the island.
